Pamela Dodd, age 61, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on July 31, 2026.

Born on June 20, 1965, in Cumming, Georgia, Pamela was the daughter of the late Milton Payne and the late Linda Brookshire Fowler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Pat Ann Gonzales; her special uncles, Bobby Brookshire and Michael Brookshire; her best friend, Angie Lowe; and her son-in-law, Cameron Hall.

Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Tommy "Boo" Dodd; her children, Wesley and Lisa Fields of Dahlonega, Brandi and Jeremy Lepper of Michigan, Kevin and Crystal Fields of Dahlonega, and Makayla Fields and her spouse, Joseph Burrow, of Dahlonega. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kenzie Truelove, Jacob Cusimano, Jordan Ehlers, Emily Diaz, and Chance Fields. She is further survived by her siblings, Jolie and Kevin Davis and Richard "Petey" Payne; her special sister, Rhenea "Nea Nea" Puckett and Morris; her special friend, Susan Croft; her mother-in-law and best friend Ruth Dodd; her nieces and nephews, Candis and Adrean Adams and Eric and Afton Shook; and her beloved dogs, Lannie and Whiz

To know Pamela was to love her. She was genuine in every aspect of her life, remaining the same kind, compassionate, and loving person no matter the circumstance. She possessed a heart that knew no limits and freely gave love to those who needed it most, especially when others would not. She never judged, always listened, and had a remarkable way of helping people carry their burdens. Pamela often took the weight of the world's worries upon her own shoulders so that those she loved would not have to bear them alone.

Her family was the center of her world. She was a devoted wife, an incredible mother, and a proud grandmother who wanted nothing more than to see her children and grandchildren succeed and experience all the happiness life could offer. She would have done absolutely anything for them, and they never questioned the depth of her love. Her unwavering support, encouragement, and selflessness made her a true hero in the eyes of her family.

Pamela embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. She was a passionate rock hound who loved searching for treasures in nature, enjoyed spending time fishing, and was known for making some of the best homemade biscuits around. She was a wonderful cook whose kitchen was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love. A hardworking woman with an unmatched work ethic, Pamela approached every task with determination while always finding time to care for others.

She had an unforgettable presence. If Pamela walked into a room, everyone knew she was there. Not because she demanded attention, but because her kindness, warmth, and infectious smile naturally drew people to her. Even through life's greatest struggles, she greeted others with grace and optimism. If something was weighing on her heart, she rarely let it show, choosing instead to meet everyone with a smile.

One of Pamela's favorite sayings was, "Que sera, sera", which means, "Whatever will be, will be." It was a phrase that reflected the quiet strength, resilience, and faith with which she lived each day. Her next favorite was, “I love you like a fat kid loves Twinkies”. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, generosity, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. The countless lives she touched will forever be better because she was part of them.

A Celebration of Life honoring Pamela will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.
