Paulette
Waldrop
December 18, 1947 – April 17, 2026
Mrs. Norma Paulette Waldrop, age 78, of Dahlonega, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Paulette was born in Atlanta on December 18, 1947, to the late Paul B. Taylor and Ruth Crowder Taylor. She was a loving mother and a beloved "MawMaw" to her grandchildren, a title she wore with great joy and pride.
Paulette retired from WellStar Medical Center after many years of faithful service. More importantly, she was a devoted follower of Jesus, and her life reflected her faith through her love, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her family.
She loved her children fiercely and was known as the ultimate "sports mom," never missing a single game her boys played. Family always came first, no questions asked. Whether she was teaching her grandchildren to drive (even if a little early), catching tadpoles, going on vacations, playing kickball, or spending time on the playground, Paulette was always present, always involved, and always loving.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Waldrop of Dahlonega; sons, Chris Hancock of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, and Randy Hancock (Brooke) of Enterprise, Alabama; stepdaughter, Delia Damroze of Carnesville; stepson, Jamus Waldrop of Jefferson; sister, Pam Williams (Bobby) of Powder Springs; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one nephew; and several other loving relatives.
A Celebration of Paulette's life will be held at a later date.
