Obituary

Pearl Mae Ridley Tucker, age 92, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was born in Lumpkin County, moved to Atlanta for 50 years, then moved back to Dahlonega in 1999. She retired after 60 years as a Master Cosmetologist and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She was a member of Dahlonega Baptist Church. Pearl was the daughter of the late Charlie Edward and Rachel Victoria Ridley, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Tucker; siblings, Ralph Ridley, Dessie Belle Lunsford, Lillie Wimpy, and Charlie Ridley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shelba and David Whaley, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Dyer, Pinson, AL; grandchildren, Neal and Bobbi Whaley, Davey Whaley, Jason and Shannon Dyer, Bradley Dyer; and great grandchildren, Jacob Whaley, Ella Dyer, Payton Dyer, and Christien Dyer. Funeral services for Pearl are scheduled for12:30 PM Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA. Interment will follow in the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA. Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 11 AM until service time on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
