Phyllis Margaret Andrews, age 96, of Birmingham, AL (formerly of Dahlonega, GA) passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2017.

Phyllis a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was always full of energy and loved life. She will always be remembered for her witty sense of humor.

She was the daughter of the late Alonzo Fernando and Hattie Cannon Ferguson. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Leon Rider and Bill Andrews; son, Larry Rider; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Donald Rider, Birmingham, AL; daughter, Rachel Wilbanks, Dahlonega, GA; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Numerous relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Phyllis are scheduled for 3 PM Friday January 13, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Phil Miller will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mount Zion Baptist Church #2 Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Thursday January 12, 2017 from 5 PM until 9 PM and again on Friday January 13, 017 from 10 AM until time of service.
