Mr. Ralph "Red" Hawkins, age 71, of Dahlonega, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023.  He was born on June 25, 1952, to the late Ralph Monroe Hawkins, Sr., and Mary Nell Smith Hawkins.  Red had a passion for riding motorcycles and found joy in the serenity of horseback riding.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Theo Carl Whitehead.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Whitehead of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law Tony and Amy Hawkins of Cleveland; nephews Joseph Kyle Hawkins of Lawrenceville and Chadwick Taylor Whitehead of Gainesville; significant other Helen Yvonne Reece; and good friends Robert Hood, Chris Wingo, and Jeff Davidson.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. A reception will follow. Rev. Wayne McKinney will officiate.
