Obituary

Mr. Randolph "Randy" Thomas Southin, age 64, of Dahlonega passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was born on April 11, 1956 in Montreal, Canada to the late Helen Southin.

Randy worked in the pulp and paper industry for 49 years. He was a member of the Chestatee Worship Center in Dawsonville and was a Godly man. He had a love of music and had played trombone in the church's ministry of music since he was 12 years old. His favorite song of all time was Blessed Assurance. He loved his children and remained active throughout their entire lives.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Charles Dutaud and sister-in-law, Lynn Choquette.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan of Dahlonega; Children, David (Kathleen) Southin of Lawrenceville, Lauren Southin of Cumming, and Dylan Southin of Dahlonega; Grandchildren, Adriana Southin and Madelena Southin; Sister, Ruth Dataud of Ontario, Canada; Brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Michael (Deborah) Choquette of St. Albans and Kevin (Diane) Johnston of  Swanton, Vt ; Father-in-law and mother-in-law Rene and Henrietta Choquette of St. Albans, Vt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Randy's wishes were to be buried in Montreal, Canada. Dates and times for interment will be determined at a later date.
