Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home announces that Ransom Marion Ash Sr., age 72 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Ransom was born in Gainesville, Georgia on April 20, 1948 to the late James R.M. Ash and Odessa Presley Ash. He was a self employed carpenter, and could do magic with wood and his tools.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Marie Ash; brother, James Doyle Ash; and grandson, Austin Corey Ash.

He is survived by his children, Ransom Ash Jr. (Rena) of Dahlonega, Benjamin Ash (Magdalena) of Las Vegas, Adrianne Youngblood (Richard) of St. Augustine, Joseph Ash of Gainesville, and Crystal Velazquez (Pablo) of Cornelia; ex wife and special friend, Cora White Ash; siblings, Rita Clifton (Alvin) and Jerry Ash (Kathy); sister-in-law, Chris Ash; lifelong best friend, Ronnie Suggs; and his favorite four legged friend, his beloved dog "Little Eye".  In addition, he is survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

It was Ransoms final wishes to be cremated. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on October 18, 2020 at 1:30 PM at 850 Homer Edge Circle, Dahlonega, Georgia 30533.
