Roy Clayton "R.C." Grizzle, age 78, a lifelong resident of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017.

Daddy, we sure hope there are trucks in heaven and you are sittin' behind the finest steering wheel of the prettiest Peterbilt there! We loved driving trucks with you and we will never forget you. Also, we hope you are singing "Candy Kisses". Love, Sharon, Jody, & Marvene.

R.C. was the son of the late Dock Tate and Alma Cochran Grizzle. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Opal Satterfield; brothers, JD Grizzle, Russell Grizzle, David Grizzle; and brothers-in-law, JR Satterfield, Jack Weaver, and Benny West.

R.C. is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marvene Grizzle; son and daughter-in-law, Jody Doc and Denise Grizzle; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mike Johnson; sisters, Inez West, Doris Weaver; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Hoyt Ravan; sisters-in-law, Gail Grizzle, Myrtle Grizzle; grandchildren, Jessica Humphries, John Hodge, Britny Lynch, Brandon Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Kindra Heldreth; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Logan, Xaden, Bella, Adaline, Cierra, Mia, Kaila, Chance; special buddies, Zachary, Logan, Chance, Bella, Cierra, Dalton (Wood Duck), and special friends and cousin, Robert Grizzle, Leon Moss, and Debbie Head. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for R.C. are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Terry Fields, Rev. Steve Barrett, Rev. Chris Butler, and Rev. Russell Burt will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 5 PM to 9 PM and again on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 10 AM until service time.
