Mrs. Rebecca Joyce Nickelson, age 64, of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.  She was born on July 1, 1957 to the late Marion Donald and Jessie Laverne Fleming McKay.  Mrs. Nickelson was a member of the Order of the Easton Star in Dahlonega and served as Worthy Matron.  She was a graduate of the Lumpkin County High School class of 1976 and received her LPN degree from North Georgia Technical College.

Mrs. Nickelson is survived by her husband, John Nickleson of Dahlonega; children Amanda Lynn Walker (Aaron) of Reno, NV, Melissa Dale Nickelson of Dahlonega, and Ara Michelle Nickelson of Dahlonega; sister Linda Kay McKown (Robert) of Murrayville; nieces Lindzey McKown of Sandersville, GA and Jessica Ann Bridges (Ashley) of Sandersville, GA; grandchildren Gabriel Walker and Arial Walker.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
