Ricardo De La Paz, age 31, of Dahlonega, GA died July 7, 2015. Ricardo was born in Los Angeles, CA March 23, 1984. He had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 26 years and was employed at Fieldale. Ricardo had a heart of gold and loved to help people. He dearly loved his children and family. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Fields De La Paz; children, Elijah Fields, Daniel De La Paz, and Jasmine De La Paz; mother, Blanca De La Paz; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Elizabeth Fields; brother-in-law, Lamar Fields, all of Dahlonega, GA. A number of cousins and extended family members also survive. Funeral services for Ricardo are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA. Sister Anniette Cross, Rev. James Wilbanks, and Rev. Ray Strickland will officiate. In accordance with his wishes, Ricardo will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Friday July 10, 2015 from 10 AM until 9 PM and again on Saturday until time of service.
