Robert "Bob" Allen Williams, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026.

Bob was born on September 8, 1935, in Pennsylvania to the late James Williams and the late Elsie Williams. He lived a life defined by hard work, curiosity, and generosity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Bob was widely known for being incredibly handy and capable of repairing, building, or tinkering with just about anything. Whether it was a household project, a mechanical challenge, or helping someone in need, Bob always found a way to make things work. He had a lifelong passion for cars, bikes, trucks, his Segway, and just about anything that moved on wheels.

An avid runner, Bob completed more than 25 marathons throughout his life, including the prestigious Boston Marathon—an accomplishment he was very proud of. His determination and enthusiasm for staying active inspired many around him.

Above all, Bob cherished his family. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Karen Rzewnicki, and her husband, Jon Rzewnicki; his brother, Thomas Williams, and sister-in-law, Jeanne Williams; and his sister, Joan Strall, and brother-in-law, William Strall.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Williams; his brother, James Williams; and his sister, Lois Lewis, and her husband, Trevor Lewis.

Robert and his wife Joan's ashes will be laid to rest together at the Georgia National Cemetery.
