Mr. Robert Steve Mayo, age 77, of Dahlonega passed away, Saturday, November 30, 2024.  Mr. Mayo was born on October 10, 1947.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Bertha Lingerfelt; siblings L.J. Mayo and Peggy Seabolt; grandchild Brittany Jones; and special cousin Tim Abercrombie. Mr. Mayo served in the United States Armed Forces and was a member of American Legion Post 239.

Survivors include his children, Georgia London (Michael) of Cleveland, Jason Ray of Dahlonega, and Stacy Mayo of Dahlonega; grandchildren Eli Martin, Jacob Martin, Simon Martin, Stephanie Jarrard, Jordan Jarrard, Diana Perry; great grandchildren Kirsten Jarrard, Kaleb Lewis, Kaydence Lewis, Kolten Lewis, Ace Jarrard;  special family member Loretta Abercrombie; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Mr. Jamie Hitt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until service hour on Thursday.
