Mr. Robert "Bobby" Woody Sr., age 85, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on August 18, 2024. He was born on April 18, 1939, in Dial, Georgia, to the late Dallas Woody and the late Mary Hood Woody. Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Sarah "Bea" Woody, and his siblings, John Woody, Earl Woody, Ruth Champion, Wilda Lunsford, Ruby Johnson, Geraldine Smith, and Louise Wilson.

He is survived by his loving children, Rhonda Woody and Robert Woody Jr. (Cathy), and grandson Robert "Dallas" Woody, all of Canton, Georgia. Bobby will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He possessed a selfless nature, always prioritizing others before himself. His deep love extended to his entire family, including extended relatives and in-laws.

Bobby had a passion for the outdoors, spending many peaceful hours working on his farm, tending his garden, or operating his tractor on the land. He found joy in simple pleasures like solving word search puzzles and watching NASCAR races. One of his greatest sources of pride was watching his grandson, Dallas, excel in basketball and baseball.

A man of quiet wisdom, Bobby exemplified the "American Dream." Born into humble beginnings in the foothills of Appalachia, he overcame early challenges, including the loss of his father, to achieve success alongside his wife as owners of a thriving pet feed and supply store. Their hard work allowed them to retire comfortably.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Rhoten officiating. Interment will follow at the cemetery of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church #2 "The Hill Church" in Suches, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
