Ronald Edward
Ravan
January 2, 1941 – June 1, 2026
Mr. Ronald Edward Ravan, age 85, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026.
Born on January 2, 1941, in Dahlonega, Georgia, Ronald was the son of the late Gordon Ravan and the late Edna Butler Ravan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita Stafford Ravan; brothers, Hoyt Ravan and Robert Ravan; great-grandson, Syre King; brother-in-law, Franklin Stafford; and his best fishing buddy, Orville Bowling.
Ronald is survived by his daughters, Gloria Voyles, Darlene (Marty) Pugh, and Teresa (Jeff) Grizzle; sister-in-law, Ann Ravan; cousin, Ed (Doris) Winkler; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members, and many friends who will cherish his memory.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Ronald honorably served his country during the Vietnam War and was a highly decorated soldier. Following his military service, he returned home and began what would be his first and only civilian career at Pinetree, where he worked faithfully for many years until his retirement.
Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He found great joy in the outdoors and especially loved spending time fishing. In his younger years, he enjoyed gardening and helping his beloved wife, Juanita, care for their flowers. He was never happier than when he was "piddling" around in his sheds, fixing, building, and tinkering with whatever project had caught his attention. His quiet strength, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
In accordance with his wishes, Ronald will be cremated, and no public services will be held.
The family asks that Ronald be remembered for the simple life he loved, the family he cherished, and the kindness he showed to those around him.
