Obituary

Mrs. Rosanne Dobruck, age 77, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017.

Mrs. Dobruck, fondly known as "Roz" was born and raised in the small town of Herkimer, New York on June 29, 1940 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Raymonda Grande.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother James Grande.  Roz eventually fled to warmer weather in Florida where she raised four beautiful daughters.  In the 1990's she and her husband visited the North Georgia Mountains and she quickly fell in love with Dahlonega. She and her husband have been residents of the area ever since, and started a local company known as Dobruck Construction.  Roz was a strong and compassionate woman, great listener, and wonderful cook.  She was famous for her spaghetti and sweet tea.  Roz was a true friend and confidant and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband Walter Dobruck, Dahlonega; daughter Marion Oppenheimer and Doris Dockery, Palm Harbor, FL; daughters and sons in law Vicky and Mark Drake, New Port Richey, FL; Cherie and Kenny Livernois, Tarpon Springs, FL; Theresa and Peter Ripa, Escondido, CA; Debbie and Gary Buchanan, Auburndale, FL; sons and daughters in law Mark and Angie Dobruck, Haines City, FL; J.R. and Faith Dobruck, Lake Wales, FL; brothers Joey Grande, Herkimer, NY, and Robert Grande, Eastham, MA; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
