On Thursday, April 2, 2026, Rosie "Betty" Elizabeth Rich Grant passed from this world into the presence of Jesus the Christ her LORD and Savior. This departure was peaceful while in her sleep at the age of 101. Betty was born February 2, 1925, in Blairsville, Georgia.

She is preceded by her lifelong soulmate, Clarence Garland "Pa" Grant, of Dawsonville, Georgia, her great grandson, Kaleb Grant, and her granddaughter Carolyn Hatcher. She perfectly fit the picture of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Grant and his wife, Marie, of Hayesville, North Carolina, David Grant and his wife Joanne, of Resaca, Georgia, and daughter Judy Poynor, of Dahlonega, Georgia. She is loved and will be missed by her grandchildren, Regina Smith, of Winder, Georgia, Sid Grant, of Hayesville, North Carolina, Christopher Grant, of Carrollton, Georgia, and Bradley Grant, of South Orange, New Jersey. Her six great grandchildren will have good memories of her involvement in their lives: Jessica Edgar, James Grant, Virginia Jane Grant, Austin Grant, Corey Grant, and Erika McDevitt. She has made an unforgettable impression on her 7 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Rodgers and Stan Kelley will officiate. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Harmony Baptist Church in Dawsonville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Anderson Underwood Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
