Mrs. Ruby Inez Bottoms, age 97, of Dahlonega, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017.

Mrs. Bottoms was born in Forsyth County on February 15, 1920 to the late Duffy and Bell Sosebee Martin.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otis Bottoms; brothers, L. T. Martin and Franklin Martin; sister Sarah Sewell; and infant daughter, Judy Hatcher.  She was retired from Forsyth Industries were she loved her job as a zipper setter.  Mrs. Bottoms was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Cumming, GA.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Tucker, Dahlonega; sister and brother in law, Jane and Joe Smith, Silver City; sister, Mary Myers, Ducktown; granddaughters, Peggy Smothers, Cordele; Lori Hobson, Mt. Airy; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Bottom's wishes were to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
