Gracie "Ruth" Cain, age 73, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and retired from Burlington Industries Pine Tree plant in Dahlonega after 33 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Ruth was the daughter of the late Virdie Sisk and Dora Davis Walker, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, R.F. Cain; son, Jeffrey Cain; granddaughter, Hailey Hampel; sister, Doris Ann Martin; and brother, Virgil "Sonny" Sisk. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Paul Hampel, Dahlonega, GA, Shannon and Marty Hughes, Blairsville, GA, Melissa and Robert Rowe, Dahlonega, GA; brothers, Ronnie Sisk and Terry Sisk, Dahlonega, GA; and sister, Joyce Martin, Blairsville, GA. 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Ruth are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. Brian Payne will officiate. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 6 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, and from 9 AM until service time on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
