Sally Christine Bruce, age 81, of Dahlonega, GA passed away January 5, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Sally was born in Hiawassee, GA on June 8, 1934 and had lived in Lumpkin County for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Kermit Bruce; parents, Richard and Leva Maney Henson; brothers, Elemer Henson, Felder Henson, and Delmer Henson; sisters, Loraine Henson Ferguson, Pauline Henson, Irene Henson Hollifield, and Montine Henson Ledbetter.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Nelda Bruce, Dahlonega, GA, and Gary and Carol Bruce, Murphy, NC; daughters, Brenda Bruce Abercrombie, Dawsonville, GA and Carla Bruce Johnson, Cleveland, GA; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Sally are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Phil Martin will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Etowah Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 6 PM until 8 PM and again on Friday from 12 Noon until time of service.
