Sara "Sally" Kathleen Rary Capps, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on March 25, 2026.

Sally was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 9, 1955, to the late Homer Ottis "Ott" Rary, Jr. and the late Vivian Elizabeth "Betty" Estes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beth Thompson.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Colleen Capps; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Bonnie Rary; brother-in-law, Tommy Thompson; as well as several nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, and other extended family members who will cherish her memory.

Sally was a proud graduate of Cross Keys High School and later earned her BS in Nursing degree (Cum Laude)  from Western Carolina University. Following graduation, she honorably served as a Registered Nurse in the United States Air Force for three years. After serving, Sally was a homemaker, caring mother, animal lover, and a devout Christian.  Later in life, she enjoyed watching a variety of TV shows and reminiscing with her brother.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and residents of Dahlonega Assisted Living for the wonderful care given to Sally, as well as the meaningful friendships she formed during her time there.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered.
