Mrs. Sandra Kay Dye, age 68, of Dahlonega, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Mrs. Dye was born on January 28, 1957, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, to the late Homer and Lavenia Killibrew. She dedicated many years of service to caring for others through her work in food service, retiring from the cafeteria at Blackburn Elementary School, and later serving at the University of North Georgia. Her kindness, strong work ethic, and friendly spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Affectionately known as "YaYa" by her beloved grandchildren, Sandra cherished her family above all else. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially watching the ducks on the pond at her home. She was also a devoted fan of The Golden Girls and The Andy Griffith Show, proudly earning the title of trivia master among family and friends.

Mrs. Dye will be remembered for her warmth, gentle humor, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.

Survivors include her children, Ginger Phillips (Kevin), of Dahlonega; Bonnie Holland (Bo), of Dawsonville; grandchildren Devan Dye, Kinley Cruse, Luke Phillips, Allison Holland, Emma Holland, and Sevier Holland; and friend and father of her children, Randy Dye.
