Sharon Norrine Larson, f/k/a Sharon N. Larson Hicks, age 81, passed over into new life with her Lord on March 4, 2024 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents Chester Allen Larson and Alma Frances Larson of Dahlonega, Georgia, and by her sister Charlotte Bonnie Stein of Wyoming, Michigan. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Gregory A. (Christine) Hicks and Karen S. Hicks of St. Petersburg, FL; by her grandchildren Robby, Ryan, Rory and Taylor Hicks; her brother Cullen (Lola) Larson of Cumming, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sharon was born February 13, 1943, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, attended St. John Vianney Catholic School, and was a graduate of Mount Mercy Academy, Grand Rapids, MI. Her professional career included positions in banking, real estate, finance, and church financial management. She served as an officer of the Florida State Board of Realtors.

Sharon had been an active member of the Catholic Church at her home parishes in Michigan and Florida, where she participated in scripture study, and served on the liturgy committee, and finance committee. She was an avid sports fan especially when her children or grandkids were playing. She rarely missed a game. She enjoyed taking care of 100 different species of roses and beading with her friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 91 N. Park Street, Dahlonega, GA 30533, with 30 minutes of visitation with family prior to the service on Friday, April 5, 2024. Interment will be at Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery, near the gravesite of Sharon's parents, Chester A. and A. Frances Larson.
