Mrs. Sherida Lee Hunt, age 80, of Dahlonega, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026.

Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Meeks and Bette Meeks, and by her beloved husband, Howard Hunt.

She is survived by her loving children, Shannon Reinhart (Eric) and Gordy Hunt (Monica); grandchildren, Leigh Meeks (Jacob), Tucker Smith, Kaleb Hunt (Cara), Ethan Hunt (Taylor) and Abi Hunt; great-grandchildren, Cyrus Hunt, Selah Hunt, Noah Hunt, and Abram Hunt; sister, Leslie Richardson (Ray); brother, Steven Meeks (Betty Jane); nieces, Kelly Gilbert, Michelle Laurie, Stephanie Latta, and Kim Bass; and nephews, Steve Meeks and Matt Meeks.

Sherida was known affectionately as "Grammy" by those who loved her most. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and lived for each and every day. She had a vibrant personality and enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and cheering on her kids. Sherida brought warmth, laughter, and love wherever she went, and she leaves behind countless treasured memories for her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
