Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Ann Weaver, age 76, of Dawsonville, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. She was born on August 5, 1945, in Anniston, Alabama to the late Hubert Crim and the late Marilyn Phipps Crim.

Shirley, also known by many as "Mawmaw" and "Mawmaw Shirley", was a true one-of-a-kind woman. She loved Jesus with all of her heart. Her pride and joy were shared equally among her 20 great-grandchildren, around whom her world truly revolved. Shirley was the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that her family could have been blessed with. She was never afraid of work having worked most of her adult life (47 years) as a cook and then as a waitress for Waffle House. She was a member of Word of Life Church in Anniston, Alabama.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Roland Lamar King, Michael Wayne King, Cathy Marie King, and Amanda Darlene King; granddaughter, Samantha Pointer; and brother, Edward Lee Crim.

She is survived by her son, Scotty King of Dawsonville; sisters, Sandra (Alan) Edwards, and Annette (Richard) Garrison; grandchildren, Tyla (Michael) Lunsford, Jamie (Jordan) Miller, Britney (TJ) Holland, Michael King, Tasha Guyer, Brian (Chelly) King, Emily King, Jacob Pointer, Tiffany, Andrew Holden, Amber Holden, and Jesse Holden; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Lunsford, Ariel Lunsford, Chloe Lunsford, Elijah Miller, Jayden Miller, Jasmine King, Samantha Holland, Bryson Holland, Ryker King, Jaiden Guyer, Hayden Guyer, Joshua Guyer, JR King, Skyleigh King, Levi King, Aubrey King, Little Man King, Mckinley Pointer, Peyton Holden, and Noah Holden, as well as one on the way; and special nieces and nephews, Leslie, Kerri, Kim, Tracie, and Bubba. Numerous other nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
