Stephen "Stevie" Edwin Truelove Sr., age 71, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Stevie was born on September 27, 1954, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Thomas Harold Truelove and the late Ruby Alice Gibson Truelove. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Lee and Vicie Nell Martin Truelove, and Elijah Hansel Gibson and Marcella Crane Gibson; his siblings, Thomas Gary Truelove and Chrylene Marcella Berry; and his nephew, Douglas Clinton Ingram.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Truelove Jr. (Audrey); his sister, Lola Anne Walker; his grandchildren, Avalynn Truelove and Ryder Minchew; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives who will miss him dearly.

Stevie was a man who would do anything for anyone. He had a generous heart, a kind spirit, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He could often be found lost in a good book—especially the Bible or a classic western. His quiet strength, love for his family, and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about will be remembered by all who knew him.

The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to his lifelong friend, Cecil Tanner, for faithfully taking Stevie to doctor's appointments and helping him visit friends. Your kindness and friendship meant more than words can express.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at the Auraria Club House. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories. Please consider bringing a covered dish.
