Mrs. Vera D. Etheridge, age 76 of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. She was born on September 22, 1946 in Dahlonega to the late Paul Hunsinger and the late Willie Juanita Garrett. Vera will forever be remembered for her wonderful, made from scratch biscuits that she made for only those who she loved the most. She was the queen of yard sales and would often times spread out the map in that weeks edition of "The Nugget" and plot a route. She loved her family very much and always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Brenda Brown, Francis Maloch, Tommy Hunsinger and Debbie Anderson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny "Steve" Etheridge of Dahlonega; children Steven "Scotty" Etheridge of Dahlonega and Vera "Jewel" Blase (Matthew) of North Augusta, South Carolina; brother Charlie Hunsinger (Debbie) Sister Lynn Gooch (Doug) and sister-in-law Cheryl Hunsinger; grandchildren Amanda Smith (Danny), Cody Donaldson (Shea), Curtis Donaldson (Chancey), Jackson Blase (Sarah Jean), Christain Blase and Joshua Blase; five great grand children and one on the way; sister-in-law's Thelma Phillips and Margie Bohr. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, other relatives and "adopted children" also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023 in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Danny Jarrard will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
