With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William "Bill" Orear of Dahlonega, GA, who left this world peacefully on December 27, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on August 11, 1960, in Washington, D.C., Bill was a man of extraordinary creativity, boundless spirit, and an enduring love for both nature and family. He spent his formative years in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from North Olmsted High School.

Bill is survived by his children, Cory Thornton (Kent), Ryan Orear, Kelly Hilderbrand (Matthew), and Kyle "K.C." Orear, as well as his five grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Douglas Orear (Pam), and sister, Judith Duffy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who adored him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John C. Orear and Vivienne L. Orear, and his brothers, John C. Jr. Orear and David W. Orear.

A private celebration of Bill's life will take place on Saturday, January 18th, where family and close friends will gather to honor his memory and share stories of his life.

A free spirit with a knack for living life on his own terms, Bill found profound joy and solace in the outdoors. Whether exploring nature's beauty or tending to the land, he cherished the simplicity and peace it brought him. Though Bill's physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will forever be felt by those who loved him.

Rest easy, Bill. Your hands may now be still, but your soul will forever be playing in the dirt.
