Obituary

William Larry Sayne, age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Mr. Sayne was born on December 3, 1944, to the late John Elbert Sayne and Myrtle Dowdy Sayne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Sayne; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and J.B. Brown; and brothers-in-law, Bill Ledford and Bruno Carillo.

Mr. Sayne was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and devoted his life to his faith. He read the Bible completely through four times. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially gardening, hunting, and fishing. He was also a proud member of North Georgia Bassmaster.

Survivors include his son, Terry Dwayne Sayne of Gainesville; brothers-in-law, Steve Ledford and Danny Ledford; sisters-in-law, Janice Ledford and Peggy Carillo; grandchildren, Tyler Channell, Coraly Baker, Bella Sayne, and Malorie Baker; along with several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the Chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the funeral home.
